Every Grade Designed for Its Stage

Our program is shaped around how your child actually learns at their age — not how a curriculum says they should. The weekly rhythm stays the same, but what's inside evolves as they grow. Many of our families start in elementary and stay through graduation. Your child doesn't outgrow this school. They grow up in it.

The Bridge Years

Upper Elementary (Grades 3–5)

Where foundational skills deepen and independence begins to grow. Parents of younger learners appreciate the structure and daily rhythm — it feels like a real school day, because it is.

"We love Enlightium, amazing teachers, great easy platform to use and lots of resources for our kids! We have Jr, Freshman and 3rd grader!
Blessed to be apart of the community"

The Transition Years

Middle School (Grades 6–8)

When students begin forming their identity and asking deeper questions. Our middle school program introduces more rigorous academics, independent learning skills, and structured faith discussions. The study hall becomes an anchor for students learning to manage their own time.

"My daughter started halfway through 6th grade and completed and now completing 7th grade. She is doing great and I am very proud of her. The teachers are really on top of what they are accomplishing. God bless the teachers and staff."

Preparation Meets Purpose

High School (Grades 9–12)

High school sessions are subject-specific and course-based. Advanced coursework is available for students ready for the challenge. The result is a college-preparatory program with accredited transcripts and documented outcomes.

Advanced coursework: AP classes, Honors courses, and dual enrollment options are available for qualifying high school students.

CORE ACADEMICS

Self-Paced Doesn't Mean Self-Taught

Your child moves through a rigorous, Christ-centered curriculum at their own speed, built and refined over 20+ years by our academic team. It's not off-the-shelf. It's shaped by two decades of knowing what works for online learners.

But the curriculum is only half the equation. Live classes meet daily. Teachers are available 1:1 whenever a student gets stuck. Daily Study Hall is there for real-time help. The curriculum is self-paced. The experience is fully supported.

Foundation

Christ-Centered Across Every Subject

Bible isn't a separate class. A biblical worldview is woven into science, literature, history, and every core subject, so students learn to think through the lens of their faith, no matter what they're studying.

"The most important thing about Enlightium is the positive blessings of sharing the word of God in the curriculum. We are happy to be apart of their inclusive learning community. We truly love our son's education here."

20+

Years of Curriculum Development

Our academic team has customized, supplemented, and refined content across every subject area, improving the program each year based on how students actually learn.

50K+

Interactive Lessons

Video, audio, games, simulations, and hands-on offline assignments designed to make concepts stick across every learning style.

Mastery

Self-Paced Mastery

Students move at the speed of their understanding, not the speed of a class. The pace is theirs. The standard doesn't move.

Writing

Built-In Writing Development

An integrated writing tool provides individualized feedback during the essay process — coaching on composition, grammar, and revision in real time.

Labs

Virtual Labs

Interactive lab environments where students solve real problems across science, technology, engineering, and math. Experimentation and discovery, not just textbook diagrams.

FullY Accredited Course Catalog

Bible, Core, CTE, and Electives

A full course catalog spanning grades 3–12: Bible, English, math, science, history, career and technical education, and a range of electives. Scope and sequence built for depth, not just coverage. AP, honors, NCAA approved courses, and dual enrollment are available.

ACADEMICS IN PRACTICE

STREAM Hubs: Where Curriculum Comes to Life

Self-paced academics build knowledge. STREAM Hubs build the person. Every quarter, students join a small cohort inside one of two hubs — Builder or Inquiry — and spend the full term taking one sustained project from idea to finished product.

Builder Hub

Making, systems, and digital creation.

Science
Technology
Reading & Religion
Engineering
Arts

Builder Hub students build real things. Working apps. Digital products. Solutions to problems they actually care about. They learn to vibe code, use AI tools, design for real users, and ship something before the quarter ends. The goal is creativity as contribution. Students practice the full cycle of ownership: identify a problem, build toward a solution, present it for critique, and iterate until it works.

What students learn

  • Website and app development
  • AI literacy and prompt engineering
  • Digital entrepreneurship
  • Product design
  • Digital arts
  • Video and photography

Inquiry Hub

Reasoning, judgment, and the examined question.

Science
Reading & Religion
Math

Inquiry Hub students learn to think with discipline. They conduct structured research, evaluate AI-generated content with real discernment, construct arguments that hold under scrutiny, and defend a position in front of their peers. In a world where AI can produce a plausible-sounding answer to any question in seconds, this is the competitive skill: knowing what to ask, and a willingness to revise your answer when the evidence demands it.

What students learn

  • Data analysis and decision science
  • Structured research methods
  • Critical evaluation of AI-generated content
  • Formal argumentation
  • Applied ethics and apologetics
  • Speech and debate

How It Works

More Than a Curriculum. It's a School.

Your child doesn't download worksheets and figure it out alone. They log in to a structured school day with credentialed teachers, a weekly rhythm, and classmates who become real friends. Self-paced coursework is the foundation. Live instructional sessions bring it to life.

Mon & Tue

Instructional Days

Live, instructor-led sessions in core subjects. Your child can raise their hand, ask questions, and engage in real-time.

Wed & Thu

Workshop Days

Small-group application sessions and guided independent work. Teachers deepen understanding through workshops.

Friday

Enrichment Day

Bible study, STREAM Hub (Builder & Inquiry) projects, and teacher office hours.

Daily (Mon–Thu)

Study Hall

Drop-in help available every day. Your child is never stuck without support.

What Does a Typical Week Look Like?

The student day runs from 8:15 AM to 12:30 PM Pacific Time — afternoons are free for sports, music, family time, youth group, or whatever matters to your child.

"After her placement test, Lily was placed in Honors English and Math. She has a great relationship with her teacher Mrs. Kosov, both educationally and personally. This is what Lily needed to succeed. Everyone at Enlightium has been a big help, and any time we've reached out with questions, they've been answered quickly."

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Is Enlightium Prep a homeschool program?

No. Enlightium Prep Online is a fully accredited online private school with professional, credentialed teachers, a daily schedule, and an accredited diploma. Your child is enrolled as a private school student, not a homeschool student.

  • What grades does Enlightium Prep Online serve?

Enlightium Prep Online is available for students in grades 3 through 12. On-campus options are available for Pre-K through 12 in select cities and through partner schools across the U.S. For families looking for a fully self-paced option for Pre-K through 12 (online or book-based with videos) without live sessions, please explore Enlightium Academy.

  • Is the coursework self-paced or are there live classes?

Both. Core coursework is self-paced, allowing students to move through material at their own speed. Live instructional sessions are optional but highly encouraged and run Monday through Thursday. Students also have access to daily Study Hall with live, drop-in teacher support.

  • What does a typical school day look like?

Students follow a structured daily schedule from 8:15 AM to 12:30 PM PT. Mondays and Tuesdays feature live instructional sessions, Wednesdays and Thursdays are application workshops, and Fridays are enrichment days with Bible study, and STREAM projects. Afternoons are free.

  • What is the STREAM model?

STREAM stands for Science, Technology, Religion/Reading, Engineering, Arts, and Math. It's not STEM with a Bible class added on. A biblical worldview is at the core of every subject and woven throughout our curriculum.

  • What are the Builder Hub and Inquiry Hub?

These are quarterly enrichment experiences where students go deeper. In Builder Hub, students create real projects using digital tools, app development, and design thinking. In Inquiry Hub, students tackle contested questions through structured research, critical reasoning, and formal argumentation. Students rotate through both hubs throughout the year.

  • What curriculum does Enlightium Prep use?

Enlightium Prep Online uses a curriculum that has been customized and refined over 20+ years. We've layered in additional resources and approaches so it's not an off-the-shelf product. It's purpose-built for our students. Advanced Placement, Honors, and NCAA-approved courses are available for qualifying high school students.

  • What kind of teacher support does my child receive?

Students have access to live 1:1 video and phone teacher support, daily Study Hall (Mon–Thu), group projects, and a personal academic advisor with regular check-ins. 1:1 tutoring is also included at no additional cost.

  • Is Enlightium Prep accredited?

Yes. Enlightium Prep holds accreditation through Cognia (since 2012) and ACSI (since 2018). We are also NCAA approved (since 2015) and a College Board AP school (since 2008). Transcripts and diplomas are fully recognized.

  • How much does tuition cost?

Enlightium Prep Online tuition is $9,000/year (monthly payment plans, tuition assistance, scholarships, and alternative fundint available). Everything is included: coursework, live sessions, teacher support, tutoring, advising, community access, and all learning resources. No add-on fees.

Enlightium Prep is the structured, premium experience for grades 3-12 with live instructional sessions, daily Study Hall, group projects, 1:1 video and phone teacher support, and enrichment programming. Enlightium Academy is a self-paced, accredited online (grades 3-12) or book-based with video (grades PreK4-9) private school at a lower price point ($1,500–$5,000/year) with the same accreditation and biblical foundation. Families can even split children between programs.

  • Can my child participate in sports or extracurriculars?

Yes. The school day ends at 12:30 PM, leaving afternoons free for sports, music, family time, and other pursuits. Many Enlightium Prep families value this flexibility for student-athletes and students with outside commitments.
