Your student learns Science, Technology, Reading & Religion, Engineering, Arts and Math the way the real world uses them: together. Live teachers every morning, hands-on projects every week, and a biblical worldview running through it all.
AI can now write the essay, solve the equation and summarize the chapter. That makes the expected answer cheap. What stays valuable is what AI can't do for your child: connect ideas across fields, build something that actually works for a real person, and judge what is true and what is right.
Most schools still teach subjects in separate boxes and measure success with worksheets and tests. STREAM teaches students to use what they learn, together, with faith as the lens for every subject.
“About 7 in 10 employers call analytical thinking essential, and they expect roughly two-fifths of workers' core skills to change by 2030.”
STREAM connects six subjects through real projects. Faith is not one subject among six. It runs through all of them.
Core classes with live teachers Monday through Thursday. On Fridays, students join a small cohort in the Builder Hub or the Inquiry Hub.
Apps, prototypes, films, research and arguments they can show colleges, scholarship committees and future employers.
Breakthrough ideas come from people who connect different fields. Randomized studies show project-based learning and arts learning improve real student outcomes.
Accredited, college-prep core courses. Projects add to the academics. They never replace them.
Live teachers four mornings a week, a cohort project every Friday, and the school day done at 12:30 p.m. Pacific.
Every Friday, students join a small cohort in one of two Hubs. Each quarter, both Hubs come together on one shared project.
For students who learn by making. Apps, prototypes, AI-powered projects and short films.
For students who learn by questioning. Research, debate and stress-testing ideas, including what AI gets wrong.
Students rotate through both Hubs, so every student builds and argues.
The problem. A partner school couldn't track whether its water was safe week to week.
What she built. A simple app that logs test results and flags unsafe readings.
What broke. Version one missed bad readings. She rewrote the alert math and retested.
Who it helped. The partner now uses it every week.
“She stopped asking why school mattered. She started asking what she could build next.”
In the early 1400s, Florence's cathedral had a hole in its roof roughly 140 feet across, and no one knew how to build a dome that big. The man who solved it, Filippo Brunelleschi, was trained as a goldsmith. He used geometry to design a dome that could hold itself up, invented new machines to lift the materials and helped pioneer the math of perspective. Nearly six centuries later, it is still the largest brick dome ever built.
Science, technology, faith, engineering, art, and math. Every letter of STREAM is in that dome.
Author Frans Johansson calls this the Medici Effect: breakthrough ideas happen where different fields "stream together toward a single point." He calls that place the Intersection. STREAM is built to put your student there.

Many schools teach STEM and add a Bible class on the side. Enlightium does it the other way around. A biblical worldview shapes how students do science, use technology, design solutions, make art and reason through problems.
That's why our R holds two words. Reading trains students to weigh sources, spot weak arguments and notice when something sounds right but isn't. Religion trains them to ask what is good, what is just and who they are serving.
AI can help a student build almost anything. It cannot tell them what is worth building, who it might hurt or whether it is true. That takes wisdom, and wisdom starts here.
It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter.
When God called for the tabernacle to be built, He filled a craftsman named Bezalel with His Spirit and with skill in every kind of craft (Exodus 31:1-5). Creativity and craftsmanship are gifts to steward.
AI learns from work that already exists, so it's great at the expected answer. The value shifts to people who can frame new problems and combine fields in ways no one asked for.
In the Builder Hub, students create apps, prototypes and AI-powered projects. Using AI on real projects, with real stakes and real guardrails, teaches more than any list of rules.
When answers are instant, the valuable skill is knowing which ones to trust. Reading builds discernment about what is true. Faith builds discernment about what is right.
AI can draft a design. Someone still has to build it, test it and make it work for a real person. Engineering and the arts build skills that live in students' hands and relationships, not just on a screen.
Employers and colleges are putting more weight on proven skills. STREAM students graduate with a body of work to show, not just grades to report.
Every Enlightium Prep student completes accredited, college-prep core coursework, with Honors and AP options in high school. STREAM projects are built on top of that foundation, not in place of it.
The research points the same way. In a randomized controlled trial, students in project-based AP U.S. Government and AP Environmental Science classes outscored students in lecture-based classes on their AP exams. The results held for two years, in both courses, for students from lower- and higher-income families.

Comparing Your Options
Christian families have real choices. Here is how common school models typically compare. Every model has strengths, and a great teacher can make any of them work.
| Quality | Traditional private school | STEM school | Classical Christian | Online or homeschool only | Enlightium Prep Online |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Connects subjects to each other | Light | Some | Strong | Varies | Strong |
| Hands-on building and design | Some | Strong | Light | Varies | Project-based |
| Creativity and the arts | Some | Light | Some | Varies | Strong |
| Faith at the center | Varies | Rare | Strong | Varies | Strong |
| Technology and AI skills | Some | Strong | Light | Some | Strong |
| Live teachers and classmates | Strong | Strong | Strong | Light | Strong |
| Schedule | Full day, fixed | Full day, fixed | Full day, fixed | Fully flexible | Structured mornings, free afternoons |
| Commute | Yes | Yes | Yes | No | No |
Ratings describe each model's typical design, not any single school.
Classical Christian schools excel at writing, logic and great books, and that tradition lives on in our Inquiry Hub. STEM schools offer deep technical training, and STREAM keeps that rigor while adding the arts and faith. Traditional private schools offer proven structure and community, and Enlightium Prep keeps both while giving your family back the commute and the afternoon.
You love your school's community and rigor, but not the commute, the bell schedule or the cost. Prep keeps live teachers, classmates and college prep, and adds weekly STREAM projects.
Training and rehearsal don't follow a school bell. With the school day done at 12:30 p.m. Pacific, your student can compete and perform without falling behind.
Military and traveling families keep the same teachers, classmates and routine wherever they live.
Curious kids who ask "why does this matter?" get real projects, real audiences and real reasons to care.
If your family needs a fully independent pace with no set schedule, Enlightium Academy may be a better fit.
My son is able to balance his schoolwork with his demanding schedule of traveling and training. He has achieved great results at international tournaments and prepared for his career as a professional athlete while also having a very good and flexible high school education.
The teachers truly care about each student and my child has formed great friendships with her classmates. Enlightium is incredible.
My son used to ask why school mattered. Now he spends his Fridays in the Builder Hub making an app for our church’s food drive, and he can’t stop talking about it.

Here's what one STREAM project looks like at each stage. Projects change each quarter. These examples show the approach.
Elementary, grades 3-5
Plant life cycles, soil, water and sunlight.
Time-lapse photos and a simple growth log.
Stories about gardens and generosity, and what Genesis 2:15 says about caring for creation.
Design a self-watering planter from recycled bottles, test it, then improve it.
Illustrate seed packets and garden signs.
Measure growth every week and graph the results.
The Project
Grow food to share with a local food pantry.
Middle school, grades 6-8
Forces, compression, tension and why arches stand.
Design interlocking bricks in a 3D modeling tool and print them.
Read about Renaissance Florence. Ask why people built cathedrals meant to last for centuries.
Build it, load-test it, watch it fail and rebuild it stronger.
Sketch the design in one-point perspective, the technique Brunelleschi helped pioneer.
Use geometry and ratios to plan the curve.
The Project
Build a dome that holds itself up, inspired by Brunelleschi.
High school, grades 9-12
Water chemistry and contamination testing.
Build an AI-assisted tool that logs test results and flags problems.
Read case studies critically, and study what Jesus says about serving people in need (Matthew 25:35-40).
Prototype a low-cost filter and measure how well it works.
Produce a short film and pitch that tell the story with care and respect.
Calculate flow rates, cost per liter and how confident the results really are.
The Project
Help a mission partner test and improve its water supply.
No. A Bible class is one period a day. At Enlightium, faith shapes how every subject is taught: how students do science, use technology, design solutions, make art and reason through problems. That's why the R sits in the middle of the word.
No. Core coursework is accredited and college-prep, with Honors and AP options. Projects build on top of it. In a randomized study of AP courses, project-based classes outscored lecture-based classes on the AP exam.
No. Students attend live classes, work in small-group workshops, drop into daily Study Hall and build projects with a cohort. Teachers and classmates know them by name.
STREAM Hubs are built into every week, and most students participate regularly. Some states require or recommend participation, and our team will walk you through your state's rules during your consultation.
Everything happens on a laptop. No special equipment required.
Same framework, different rhythm. Enlightium Prep Online runs core learning Monday through Thursday, with Fridays for STREAM Hubs and Bible study. Enlightium Prep Campus pairs morning academics with afternoon hands-on work in maker spaces and weekly chapel.
Classical schools do many things well, especially writing, logic and great books. You'll find those here too, especially in the Inquiry Hub. STREAM adds what classical models often leave out by design: hands-on building, engineering, technology and AI skills.
Because you can't judge what you don't understand. Students who know the fundamentals can tell when AI is wrong and push it to do better.
Honestly, no study tests the STREAM label itself. Strong randomized studies support its building blocks: project-based learning, arts learning and the mix of technical and human skills employers want. We'd rather tell you that plainly than oversell.
Enlightium Prep Online is $9,000 per year, all-inclusive, with monthly plans, tuition assistance, scholarships and alternative funding available. STREAM Hubs are included.
